Marine Corps regulation MCO P1020.34F of the Marine Corps Uniform Regulations chapter 3, a male Marine is not allowed to carry an umbrella while in uniform. There is no provision in the Marine Corps uniform regulation guidelines that allows a male Marine to carry an umbrella.

President Obama allowed the First Head to be protected from the elements by an umbrella held by a male Marine corporal.

The fear of Smell
Too bad those Marines weren't allowed to beat the living chit out of Barry for that.

You claim to be a retired military person... yet, you show clearly you do not understand the oath that is you took. It is clearly no wonder why we Army vets despise some Navy... totally disrespectful, undiscplined, untrained and spoiled rotten like an immature kid!

And thanks for your service (obviously a waste...)

While GW's comment may have read as over the top, I doubt any retired military member < myself included> would take his comment as serious. Your comment to him "(obviously a waste)" is far more undisciplined and disrespectful. Not one American who has served honorably in the Armed Forces has wasted thier time...
