New Yahoo Messanger

Not sure if anyone knows about it but Yahoo has a new messanger out. You can place calls through the net free on yahoo messanger. acts like a phone. If noone answers you can even leave a voice mail. Pretty cool i tried it out today. Works Great. No more long distance phone calls for those who have the net and yahoo messanger. :cheers:

:boo: I downloaded the upgrade this morning along with a bunch of free yahoo bullshiat I didn't want. Like a really cool freakin tool bar and 2 new icon on my desk top. :annoying:

You have to uncheck those options when you're installing it, but I think you should have to check them IF you want it.

I upgraded a couple of days ago, but haven't had a chance to check it out much.

I did (or at least I'm pretty sure I did) and I still got a bunch of extra Yahoo BS :ohwell:

I downloaded it this morning.

I'm not overly impressed with the call quality. I was talking to Mrs. Toxick this morning, and she was having trouble hearing me through the lag/choppy signal issues.



I've been using Skype for about a year now, and I'm thoroughly pleased with it. Yahoo is trying to get that market now apparently - and so is Microsoft - but I'll stick with Skype until Yahoo or MS gets it right.

David and I did testing with Yahoo and GoogleTalk - Yahoo sucks. Google's sound quality was immensely better than Yahoo's.

I noticed I have yahoo messenger on my phone, but I don't know how to make it do stuff. :ohwell:

going to try that out i noticed also with talking with friends in sc i could hear them great but when i talked it was distorted and i sounded like donald duck they said.

But the beauty of messenger is that you don't have to actual talk to another human, isn't it?

Yeah i guess but sure saves on your phone bill.
