Newborn Orphans

Zoooooooom
Yesterday morning I went out to feed the horses and I hear a bunch of sqeaking. I spy these kittens and figure the momma cat had just run off, so I left them alone. Came home yesterday afternoon and went out to check on them (10 hours after I saw them in the AM) and the picture below is what I saw. Still damp, spread out, not moving, not mewling.

I brought them in and warmed them up and ran out to the pet store and picked up replacement formula. Once they were warm we tried feeding and were able to get approx. 2ccs in each kitten. A couple hours later we were able to get 4ccs in. 3:30am we got in 5ccs. And this morning they took 6ccs and were looking for more.

This is my first time with BABY anything but horses. Yikes. We found the mother cat and left her with the babies, but she completely ignored them. Looks like I have some sleepless weeks ahead. When I called the vet and said I had less than 1 day old kittens they just said to keep them warm and to feed them (and of course to help them relieve themselves).

So, they came to work with me this morning...

Are you planning to try to find them forever homes?, if so, I may know of some people that would be interested.
