NFL Minority Hire Competitive Edge explained.

The NFL minority hire competitive edge rules change will change the sport dramatically.

Before each game, each team will have its minority hire competitive edge points (MHCEP) determined. The team's MHCEPs will be compared and the difference will be awarded to the team with the largest MHCEP. For example: Team A MHCEP = 25, Team B MHCEP = 43, so Team B is awarded 18 points at the start of the game. (Team B = 18, Team A = 0)

The number of points per position, the positions eligible for points and the specific minorities are contained in the MHCEP 50 page chart. By simply identifying the position and the minority, it is easy to determine the MHCEP. Examples: General Manager = black Hispanic = 4 points, General Manager = African American LBGTQ = 6 points, Head Coach = African American Female = 7 points, Towel Supervisor = Asian Trans = 5 points, Ball Washer = Hispanic Female = 3 points.

League officials and owners have assured fans that this change will greatly improve the competitiveness of the game.

You know if NFL teams went out and hired a bunch of Asian analytic types, some alphabet group would declare that they aren't the right minority. Just like college admissions. Asians are knocking it out of the ball park. The other 2 minority groups aren't doing as well, even when various affirmative action advantages are factored in.

So instead of saying minorities, why don't they just say what group they are looking to hire? It's not like people don't know what they are insinuating.
