Damn, I thought Fedorov would do one more year....
Isn't Knuble in his mid to late 30's?
Brash.....no big deal

2 Mins for Roughing!

Donald Brashear and Avery on the same team? :killingme Just keep the penalty box door open the entire game.

I thought Brashear was such a great asset to the Capitals? I guess management didn't think so!

I for one am not upset about the loss of Brashear whatsoever. I don't like the negative attention he brought to the team with his suspension in the playoffs, and really never thought he added that much anyways. For a "physical enforcer" he sure seemed to get KO'ed a ton this past season. I am happy with the addition of Mike Knuble (as every Caps fan should be), and also hope that Chris Clark can return to his 20 goal form this season.

Knuble well help the Caps infront of the net. Only in Washington will you see fans buy Brashear jerseys like hotcakes. :killingme

:yay: Im happy with the trade, was sad to see Federov go. He appeared to me, to be slowing down toward the end of the season, age maybe catching up to him, but he was great to have as a mentor for our young Russians, Knuble can score goals and is phyiscal down in front and scores 25-30 goals a season as far as age its a wash, both him and Sergy in there upper 30's. Kozlov was aging a bit also what 36, and hadnt really been scoring that well this year, although he did do a good in the playoffs
With Federov and Kozlov leaving maybe it will give one of our young guns in Hershey a chance to move up.

I think they had enough after that last league suspension.

Not Brashear. :cds: He was my favorite thug on the Caps line-up. :bawl: I was present the only time he ever scored a goal, as he was beating the crap out of somebody he slapped it off of the guy's head. He was my hero. :frown:

I think it'll be interesting to see how Huet holds up for an entire season for Chicago this year.
