There was a huge doe on the farm where I had permission to hunt in northern Illinois.
She ran with a larger buck. Mr. Phelps, the farmer, who had cattle, estimated her as over 250 pounds on the hoof and the buck at over 300.
She had triplets every year. All of us who hunted the Phelps place agreed that Bullwinkle and his Mrs. were off limits.
