FAFSA Due for Maryland Community College Promise Scholarship Applicants. March 1. To apply for a Maryland Community College Promise Scholarship of up to $5,000 to attend the College of Southern Maryland (CSM) for the 2019-2020 academic year, applicants must submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) application online by March 1. Once a FAFSA is submitted, scholarship applicants must complete the Community College Promise Scholarship application, which will be available after April 1.
