Nikon D40 Users

When I take a picture and it shows it on the screen all the white/light parts flash this black color. It didn't use to do that. Anyone have any idea why? And how can I make it stop?

it is showing the blown out highlights. where you see the 4 buttons in the back, keep pushing up or down and it will go away.
