Nissan Pedal To Push Back

What a crock. So, at times when you need acceleration (like merging, or maybe I misjudged traffic speed before I pulled out of an intersection) my car will be fighting me to slow down? In the name of efficiency?

When do you think the first lawsuit will happen after somebody gets rear-ended because their car refused to accelerate?

At least you can turn it off. My truck is "drive by wire", and when you hit the limiter you can diasble it by letting off the pedal and hitting it again, ive only hit the limiter once on 95 though.

Good point.
Someone, somewhere, is going to forget to turn it off before merging and bad things will happen. Stupid idea.

I think it just provides some force feedback; it won't actually be strong enough to stop your foot going to the floor!

That would be reasonable. The first thing that came to my mind was the C4 Corvette traction control and that pushes back with extreme force.
