This "anonymous senior Trump official" seems to have an overly inflated sense of their own self worth.

Whistle blowers are heroes in my book.

Even if they are blowing the whistle to simply call out that they are part of the 'resistance'. Even if they blew the whistle in inane nonsense that has no bearing on anything other than casting Trump as unfit. If that's what a hero looks like to you, your standard for hero is so low that I need a shovel to see it.

Woodward had a hand in exposing watergate But the Pentagon papers was leaked by the New York Times not Washington Post.

I don’t think Woodward worked for the NYT.
