No, anonymous Trump official, you're not 'part of the resistance.' You're a coward

The piece suggests America is currently under a "two-track presidency." If President Trump wants to do something the people in his administration think is good, they go along with it. If he wants to do something they think is bad, they find ways around it. This is in keeping with what the Bob Woodward book excerpt revealed: Senior officials are taking things off Trump's desk to keep him from seeing them.

Nobody who’s part of the real resistance should be celebrating this. If you work in this administration and carry out any part of Trump's agenda, you are enabling him, not undermining him. If we have a president so incompetent that his most trusted advisors have to play peekaboo to preserve national security, then those people should be working to get him out of office, not just spare us from his cruelest impulses.

The op-ed says Trump is anti-trade and anti-democratic. His leadership is characterized as "impetuous, adversarial, petty and ineffective." It says he goes on long, repetitive rants and makes "half-baked, ill-informed and occasionally reckless decisions." It says these "unsung heroes" are protecting America from Trump's "erratic behavior."

If they really believe there's a need to subvert the president to protect the country, they should be getting this person out of the White House. But they're too cowardly and afraid of the possible implications. They hand-wave the notion thusly:

“Given the instability many witnessed, there were early whispers within the cabinet of invoking the 25th Amendment, which would start a complex process for removing the president. But no one wanted to precipitate a constitutional crisis."

No, you're not an "anonymous Trump official" - you are almost certainly a progbot journalist with corruption as your way of life.

This whole thing comes from an Op-Ed that the NY Slimes published and claimed it came from an anonymous highly placed source ion Trumps Administration.
This morning there are many guesses as to who wrote it.
Sessions seems to be getting the most votes.

First there is no proof that the Times didn't write it themselves, just more fake news.
Second what purpose did it serve other than to place Trump's entire staff under suspicion?
If indeed a highly placed administration official did write it, that person must be removed.

To hide things from the President and to make accusations that he is mentally unbalanced is Treason.
The only way it would not be Treason would be if that person had the courage to place his/her evidence in the hands of Congress openly.
Not to the NY Slimes in a cowardly attack.

It is imperative that the Slimes produce this evidence and stop protecting this traitor.
If Trump is truly this bad then it's time to openly make charges against him.

Put up or shut up MF'er.
Stop hiding behind the Slimes and stabbing the President in the back,

My mom would be rolling over in her grave over the NYT. She was a librarian, and read the NYT every day, but back then it was THE paper to be reading. Accurate, timely, a real cut above other papers. It was a very rare occurrence to find a spelling or grammatical error.

Remember when WashPo was a reputable newspaper?

This is what happens when we allow Communists to take over our journalism schools, and universities in general. We should have never allowed that to happen. When you have freaking murderers and domestic terrorists as tenured professors....my god. Why do parents send their kids to these indoctrination camps?

IMO any college or school that teaches as a major ,any course that cannot be used to earn a living is wasting the students tuition.

Who wrote it really isn't as important as what it says. Verifying or debunking the content is more important for the future of this country. As of now, the content fits the general narrative coming out of this administration.

You are able to go to the Times site and pose any question you wish to the editorial board about their decision not to identify the author. You don't have a single shred of evidence that this is not legitimate.

To hide things from the President and to make accusations that he is mentally unbalanced is Treason.
No dumbass...go look up the definition of treason.

The only way it would not be Treason would be if that person had the courage to place his/her evidence in the hands of Congress openly.

The author will likely be identified in rather short order...this is not something that will stay anonymous.

It is imperative that the Slimes produce this evidence and stop protecting this traitor.
No its not. No they aren't.

If Trump is truly this bad then it's time to openly make charges against him.
Christ, do you understand anything?? No the person who wrote this is not a traitor...no they are not treasonous...no the content of the op-ed does not make for chargeable offenses against Trump. It shows him to be what you were told he was 3 years ago. Incompetent and potentially unstable. That is not a "chargeable" offense. The comment in the op-ed (that you probably haven't read) about invoking the 25th amendment tells you where this is...the President is unfit (always has been) and potentially unstable.

The Senate should be, right now, today, calling in every cabinet member of this administration. Every one of them should be behind closed doors having open and honest discussions about this President. If he is mentally unfit, he should be removed. Congress needs to step up and act on its duty to the country.

Think about this question and, if you actually can, answer it honestly...do you want a potentially mentally unstable individual controlling the US nuclear arsenal?

This isn't about political BS or your tin foil hat deep state conspiracy theories anymore. This is now a very real problem. The Woodward book and this op-ed paint a picture of a man who should not "have his finger on the button". None of this should come as a shock or a surprise...it is everything you were told about this man 3 years ago. It is everything HE put on display for you to see during the campaign.

Put up or shut up MF'er.
Stop hiding behind the Slimes and stabbing the President in the back,

Why don't you go learn something, read something other than the political propaganda that comrade GURPS feeds you.

Of course not...that's why we voted for Trump and not Hillary. :coffee:

Whistle blowers are heroes in my book. Even if Pence or Sessions penned the article, they would deserve recognition for their integrity and courage.

What illegal activities did the "whistle blower" expose in this case? Be specific.

I didn’t vote for Trump. Instead I voted for the Constitution Party after my fellow Libertarians nominated Gary Johnson and Bill Weld. Anyway, Trump rightfully won. Ever since, there’s been a silent coup against this duly elected President. If Obama were facing the same disloyalty, the limp-wristed editors at the New York Times would have screamed racism. They would have outted any disloyal member of Obama ‘s cabinet. If it were printed by another outlet, their normally soft-spoken editors would have went on shows like Meet the Depressed and Deface the Nation to condemn its publication.

They are on par with whistle blowers. I never said they were in strict interpretation of the word. Try and keep up.

I could keep up with you while blindfolded and hog tied. The sheer breadth and depth of your vacuousness is mind blowing. Good thing there are still some menial min wage jobs to be had, huh?

“Unidentified sources have become the majority of the voices people hear about in today’s news. People with no names are writing our nation’s history. If a person is bold enough to accuse people of negative actions, they have a responsibility to publicly stand by their words and people have a right to defend themselves,” Melania Trump
