We never need to fear that though we're not a perfect nation, that we must apologize for being proud of ourselves.

The problem with national apologies is that their are people who actually think these sorts of things are meaningful, that politicians, for political purposes, apologize for things they had nothing to do with because they happened so long ago, in another time, another context, basically, another world.

What would impress me is if Obama would apologize now for what he is doing wrong, and stop doing it, while it actually would mean something.

So, good for Sarah.

What I need to hear is those spineless Republicans say: "we want to apologize to the world for the Democratic President (Chairman Obama) and all that he says. We do NOT agree with him and are not behind his policies".
Does the chairman ever stop to think that we're the most powerful & advanced country in the world for a reason and in spite of our mistakes?
Does he apologize for all the money and military support we give other countries? Does he apologize for his position and salary? :loser:
Remember when Bush II wanted to play golf a few years back, how the media got on him? They said: "the Prez shouldn't be playing golf while our troops are in harms way and fighting..." and so Bush agreed and did not play.
Now Obama comes back to the USA for a visit and plays golf AND THE MEDIA IS OK WITH IT!!!!!!!!

Oh, BTW, I put up my anti-Obama flag today. Here's a small version of what it looks like:
