Cadaver dogs can sniff bodies in well over 100 feet of water. I wonder who has one.

Oh man, you bought the Mustang Notch-Back with the Chevy 502 in it?Sorry if I offended anyone with my frustration. I understand putting another life at risk is not the ideal conditions, I just hate it for the family.
Also, not sure if anyone can answer this and now is not exactly the best time but....
Last summer the drag car that Pat had raced for 3-4 years at MIR he sold to my dad. Upon doing some interior work a sticker that im assuming is a Reiter Racing deal that said "powered by deez nutz" with a picture of Rocky the Squirrell spinning a boat prop with his tail was on the dash board but it got damaged....so i'm curious as to where I could get another so that when the car debuts next week at the track we have some sort of tribute to let people know how talanted Pat was and can look at some of his work...
Thanks!
That thing was insane! There are cadaver dogs that are specially trained for sniffing bodies underwater. The skill is above and beyond what your normal land-based cadaver dogs can do so for that reason, there are probably very few around. Being that we're located around so much water, I would have to think some agency somewhere would have one. Even up in New Jersey or Delaware.Really? iCit would know... I just sent her an e-mail.

Yeap...Pat actually yanked the motor and trans out and we just bought the car. Now it has an all-aluminum 632 Ford in it...were going to take it out for the first time next weekend at MIR's ford fever race and try to make the Squirrell proud!Oh man, you bought the Mustang Notch-Back with the Chevy 502 in it?That thing was insane!
I will ask his BIL if he knows about the sticker.

Check your PM'er...I would not get near it. When he first fired it up and punched it, it "tweaked" the frame (what frame it had) - so he had to go and "fix" it, then reinforce it.lol, Pat tried to get me to drive that thing a few times, but I graciously declined. That short wheel base thing was just a bit too unpredictable for my liking. Nice car though, hope you get a lot of good use out of it.![]()
I did not witness it, but heard ALL about it at one of the family gatherings. That thing was a beast... he was going to let his oldest boy have it, but Debbie put her foot down and said NO!
THAT is the way I will remember him.
Best wishes to Bobby. And please know that he and his family have many praying for him. Good luck on today's surgery. All,
I haven't seen any post of this so I thought I would let everybody know how he is doing. He is going down today (10/16/08) at 4 PM to have surgery on one of his kidneys. They are going to do a cystogram retrograde stint insert (not sure what it is) they said he has and 80% chance of keeping that kidney. He has a big gash on his arm, one on his butt, and a bunch of other little cuts. Broken ribs, two small bones on his spine are broke (not sure which bones they are, but the doctors said it isn't a big deal about them) a lacerated liver, bruised all up and in lots of pain. He is losing blood some where (they think the kidney) because he blood levels are low. Thanks to everyone who has helped in this terrible accident and continues to help.

George,
Thanks for the update on bobby. The wife and I hope Bobby makes it through the surgery ok.

So sad..Sounds like the search will be called off until he appears... the family is very upset, but that is to be expected.![]()
My heart goes out to the family...what a tragedy!!!They made more sonar passes this afternoon, and the dive team went down... unfortunately they did not find anything.

My thoughts and prayers go out to them all.Although I do not agree with all that is printed in the St. Mary's Today(I do think that some items are in pour taste), I read it because I want a real account of what chrime is happening in our area. You will not find that out in any other publication.Ken R. is a big Jarboe supporter. Jarboe writes an editorial type column for the paper.
