A flash mob hit a retail store taking about $12,000 in merchandise with them.

It happened at a Nike store in a Los Angeles neighborhood known as Watts.

What did Nike think would happen when you open a store in Watts?

I mean, I know what they thought - that all the drug dealers would buy their $300 sneakers - "run faster from the popo!" Nobody in that hood except the drug dealers has any money for anything other than their substance of choice.

But of course when the city has a policy of not prosecuting theft, why would any of them pay for something they can take for free? Why shouldn't the gutter sleepers have the same sneakers as the drug dealers? Equity, yo.
