Nolte: Lying Media Shell-Shocked by Robert Mueller’s Fact Check

There were two huge tells proving the BuzzFeed story a lie. 1) It made no sense that the president’s son, Donald Trump Jr., testified accurately about the very thing Trump reportedly told his lawyer to lie about. 2) BuzzFeed made even less sense with the claim that the special counsel had emails and texts proving the president’s wrongdoing when we all know the president is famous for refusing to use email and texts. And only emails and texts from Trump himself would rise to the level of a smoking gun.

There are seven other reasons everyone knew this story was a lie, including the lead reporter, Jason Leopold’s, history as a liar and fabulist.

How else do we know the media knew it was a lie…?

Well, after the Mueller bomb dropped, here is Jake Tapper suddenly admitting CNN was “quite skeptical” of the story — but only admitting this after the far-left outlet spent all day blasting a story it was “quite skeptical” about to scream IMPEACHMENT.

AGAIN, that Buzzfeed is considered a legitimate news outlet worth citing is absurd. They are a kiddie entertainment site and nothing more. Actual headlines from about 5 minutes ago:

BuzzFeed and BuzzFeed News are two different things. I don't think anyone who considers themselves an adult considers Buzzfeed is a news source.

No, actually it's the same media outlet. You can look it up. They even intermingle their "stories" across their various web addresses.

Right. But the story in the OP is on a BuzzFeed News article/story.

The screenshots you linked are BuzzFeed articles, games, or something a random contributor put together. You are mixing up their entertainment platform from the award-winning (you can look it up)news platform and trying to make it one-in-the-same.

Since you didn't provide the links to the screenshots, here you go. They're even in order.

Do you consider Politico a news outlet? ProPublica?

I have never heard of ProPublica.

Politico is op-ed, not factual unbiased news. They deal in speculation an awful lot, and they go with rumors from "anonymous sources". I don't consider that news. News says, "Here's what happened..." Op-ed says, "Here's what happened in my opinion, and here's what you should think about it..." Politico is the latter.

Although I will say, as far as leftwing biased news sources go, Politico isn't as bad as some of them.

Oh, wait, another misleading story, what there's a full video showing a different prespecitve of the events, please ignore facts and truth. Let's dumb it down for our audience

ProPublica:

Overall, we rate ProPublica Left-Center biased based on story selection that favors the left and factually High due to proper sourcing and evidence based reporting.

In fact, MBFC is a great news source because it's just the facts, ma'am, and clearly explains the bias of other media outlets, both Right and Left.

MBFC, the great news source it is, says this about Politico.
Overall, we rate Politico Least Biased based on balanced coverage of news stories and High for factual reporting due to proper sourcing and a clean fact check record.

Ben Smith is the editor-in-chief at BuzzFeed News (the difference matters) and Mark Schoofs is the head of investigative reporting. Ben wrote for Politico and Mark was senior editor for ProPublica.

Top story on the Politico site right this very minute:

https://www.politico.com/

politico1.JPG

Note the language: "Trump's border wall *obsession*..." That immediately puts a negative in most minds. "Obsession"....bordering on mental illness.

Right below that:

politico2.JPG

"Trump gives in..." Another negative. In fact, Trump has no choice in the matter of giving the SotU before Congress - that is a Congressional decision, specifically Nancy Pelosi's decision. So a factual headline would read, "House Speaker prevents President from giving a State of the Union speech before Congress."

Perhaps it's gotten so ingrained that we don't even see the bias anymore. But it's always there in the adjectives and other descriptive language. Further down, "Ocasio-Cortez and Freedom Caucus ready for battle" - who doesn't want to battle for freedom? And led by AOC, no less! Wow, she must be really terrific, battling for our freedom and all! Let's click on the story... Ooh, she's a brave warrior taking on the "conservative GOP hard-liners"! It's the "progressive stars eager to investigate the president and his administration" taking on the "hard-line Republicans ready to serve as President Donald Trump’s first line of defense" . That whole story absolutely REEKS of bias. Socialist Democrats good; Republicans bad.

Big piece on the new "badasses of Congress" - all of them Democrats except for one at the very bottom.
https://www.politico.com/interactives/2019/photos-new-women-of-congress/

I direct you specifically to Ilhan Omar, Democrat, Minnesota 05 (around the middle of the page). No mention of her hatred for Jews and the horribly inflammatory things she said about them in her own words on her own social media. No mention of her flat out lies on Twitter regarding the Covington kids. Just "she so brave!"

That, my friend, is bias.

The problem still remains that if you consume your journalism free of charge, then you are the product and you’re being manipulated. Bias is irrelevant.
