Narrative:

On 7/3/2020 at approximately 12:45 am, troopers from the Maryland State Police Frederick Barrack and deputies from the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to a residence in the 8200-block of Baltimore National Pike, Middleton, Maryland, for a report of loud house party. Shortly after the initial call, additional calls came into the Frederick County 911 Center reporting a shooting.

When troopers and deputies arrived at the three-story single-family home, they observed a crowd of about 50 people leaving the area. Police found the victim inside the home. He had sustained a gunshot wound to his leg. The victim was transported to Meritus Medical Center for medical treatment.

Maryland State Police Criminal Enforcement Division investigators responded to the scene to continue the investigation. The scene was processed, but a gun was not recovered. Investigators spent the night attempting to identify witnesses and develop information about a suspect in this shooting.

At this time, a suspect has not been identified.
