non nicotice cigarettes?

So my mom.... she smokes these Quest "step down" cigarettes, graduated levels of nicotine. She can't find them anywhere and she is begging me to find them. She claims she just likes the act of smoking and she isn't addicted to nicotine. If she can't find these she wants to know if there are other cigarettes (not cloves) like vegetable cigarettes (?) out there. I already suggested pot :sarcasm:

That's great! Finally, a product we can set on fire, inhale and it is safe for you!

I know.... When I asked her why she smokes the Quest and why not just quit she said she was proving to someone that she isn't addicted to nicotine but she just enjoys smoking. I think she is too old to prove anything to anybody.

Hell, I used those back in 2003 to kick a pack and a half a day +20 year habit. Worked like a charm. I did two packs a day for the three levels, except the no nicotine level, that lasted for one pack, it was nasty. Sorry, I havent seen them for sale anywhere around. Not that I have been looking.

Quest 3 cigarettes, buy Quest 3 cigarettes online

I gotta say, though, if she is smoking the level threes, she should take up gum. she has no nicotine addiction.

She says that she isn't addicted to nicotine just the act of smoking  She has a good 50+ years of smoking under her belt :dead:

Did you ever think to tell her she's been doing it wrong all these years or do y'all just sit there and snicker every time she lights up?

Rotten bastards!

Guess it keeps her breathe fresh, though...

Ouch. She smokes 1 to 2 cigarettes a day. I made her promise me she wouldn't light up when I came to visit her this last time.

Common sense doesn't always come into play when you're addicted. A lot depends on your circumstances. I've also been smoking heavily for 50+ but I wouldn't know what to do with myself if I didn't. So far it hasn't killed me although it has certainly slowed me down, but if it does the way I look at it is we all have to die from something. I would also readily recommend any other smoker to quit now. Besides the fact that the price of cigarettes is out of this world and cuts into my social security check.
