U.S. District Judge Paula Xinis sentenced Vantino Johnson, age 23, of Charlotte, North Carolina, in Maryland today to 18 months in federal prison, followed by five years of supervised release on the federal charges of bank fraud conspiracy and bank fraud, in connection with a scheme to negotiate stolen altered postal service money orders at victim financial institutions. Judge Xinis ordered that Johnson pay restitution in the full amount of the victims’ losses, $272,087.19.
