the problem is nobody goes 65 where they are supposed to .... traffic still barrals along @ 70 75 80 ....


the speed limit is 55 on the Beltway, and you'll get run over going that speed in any other lane other than the far right .... hell PGPO don't go 55 .... they are always in the left lane going 70 ... or the MSP


then only time they go the Speed Limit is when then need that Ticket Quota ... because MOM needs more money for social programs ....

I run 70-74 in the left lane of the beltway and I've had to change lanes to make room for tailgating LEO to go by.

My buddy is a truck driver and he refers to the beltway as "suicide circle". Pretty bad when someone who drives all over the country considers the beltway the worst roadway in the entire U.S.

Oh there are some flat out loonies on there. Every morning I get passed by at least one idiot doing well over 100 mph.

I know how ya feel. I lived & worked in DC for 2 years, battling that traffic and craziness every day. Don't miss it a bit.

I think they should rename the "Beltway" to the Washington DC Raceway. The Beltway is a death wish. :coffee:
