multiple 3.5% to 3.8% transaction fees add up over the night.
And I think this is silly; it should be cheaper now to pay electronically than to pay for the time of all the people involved in handling, counting, & transferring a cash transaction from customer until deposited.

I am reluctant to give tips to some people - like the person at buffets who fills your water. It's water. And they don't say a word.
Or anyone working behind a counter ringing up my purchase. Tip? What's the point?
Chineeeeee carryout, nope why tip the owner?
Otherwise I'm good for 20% at someplace like Roadhouse.... IF (and it usually is) good.
