Rumbling and grumbling here..heavy rain and wind for about 5 minutes, now seems like lightning hitting all over with lots of big booms...Dogs are not happy.

Wow, that's the second alert I've gotten saying severe t-storms, better run and hide.

But I have a question about that:

What precautions should you take for a thunderstorm? I'm guessing flooding is the main issue? Here nobody bats an eyelash at thunderstorms - that's called "late evening" in the summer. We only get excited when they say hurricane or tornado.
