Im in such a mess with my computer AGAIN!! I run the programme Systems Mechanic 6 professional and it told me that I had a problem with My Hard drive and to click here and it will analyze it on restart. Well I did that and it ran a 2- 3 hr check on it It came bk clean BUT then I was unable to escape from that page. I did a re-boot and system went bk into another LONGGGG check. I cancelled it and re-started and got to the Blk screen with the option to start in safe mode........which I did but now im left with a blk screen full of checks .....here is the last line of many

multi(0)rdisk(0)partion(2)\windows\system32\DRIVERS\amdagp.sys

NOW its stuck on that. WHAT DO I DO NEXT??? PLEASE can someone help me out? Thanks in advance :)

Any chance you have PC Anywhere from Symantec installed on the affected computer? There is a little known problem with the gernuwa.sys file that causes big problems when you run chkdsk at startup.

If this is the problem, there is a new .sys file that can be downloaded from symantec to replace the problem file. Bad news is that you'll have to boot from the Windows CD and use the repair console to copy the new file to the disk.

More here: http://www.annoyances.org/exec/forum/winxp/t1046108376

or google for: chkdsk+gernuwa.sys

This may not be your problem, but it sound similar to what I went thru...
