Nursery rhyme needed

Boy has to dress up like a character in a nursery rhyme for Halloween this year. He also has to recite the nursery rhyme. Anyone have any suggestions? It's hard to dress someone up like Little Boy Blue, or Little Jack Horner. :ohwell: The girls have all the good ones.....Mary (baaaaa), Little Miss Muffet...etc.

I need to come up with a few good ideas so he can choose one.

Oh boy, I can see this tread going south quick! Seriously though, how about Peter, Peter, Pumpkin Eater? Dress him up like a farmer and let him hold a pumpkin? Just a thought...

Peter Peter Pumpkin Eater

Three Little Kittens (dress him up as a kitty with only one mitten...)

:high5:Great minds think alike! I like the little kitty too! Can't remember the whole rhyme though. Just the first couple of lines.

My Sweetest Boy
: Can't remember the whole rhyme though. Just the first couple of lines.

It is/was my youngest (he's 25 now) son's favorite. I used to recite it to/with him all the time.

Three little kittens lost their mittens,
And they began to cry,
"Oh, Mother Dear, we sadly fear
Our mittens we have lost."
"What! Lost your mittens! You naughty kittens!
Then you shall have no pie."
"Mee-ow, mee-ow, mee-ow,
No, you shall have no pie."
The three little kittens found their mittens,
And they began to cry,
"Oh, Mother dear, see here, see here,
Our mittens we have found."
"Found your your mittens, you good little kittens,
Then you may have some pie."
"Mee-ow, mee-ow, mee-ow,
Yes, we will have some pie!"

I have seriously thought of that. It might be kinda tough to make a costume.

I can't sew but just an idea what if you sewed two pieces of felt together. Cut it out in an oval and stuff a pillow in the front and in the back and then get clothes similar to his.

That might work. I think I could make a pattern for the egg top....a 4 piece thing that was oval shaped....like petal shaped pieces. Ugh...hard to explain. I'll have to draw it out. I'm just not sure how to fit him into it.

something that fits over his head and then cut a circle out for his face. If you could make the bottom taper in with elastic or without.
