Nursing Shortage

TPD

the poor dad
I have reliable information that says the nursing shortage is quite serious at Medstar St Mary’s. Some nurses are leaving for more money to other Hospitals, some have quit because of the vax mandate, of course some are on vacation/leave, and some are out sick with Covid - both vaccinated and unvaccinated. Because of all of this, nurses/admin are working 10-11 days straight Making crazy money - $100+ per hour!! Just a couple years ago Medstar got rid of all of their LPNs only to say they are welcome to work there now. There is talk Of closing a unit because of the lack of staff. Nurses are turning down $100/hr because they are simply burned out.

St Mary’s is about a 100 bed hospital but many days have more than 100 patients, but don’t be fooled that St Mary’s residents with ’rona are overflowing the hospital. Medstar is a for profit business which means they are constantly moving patients around their chain of hospitals to keep them all full to maximize profits. If you look at my favorite doctors data, you will see that we’ve only had 25-35 SMC residents hospitalized at any given time for Wuhan. So that still leaves 70+ beds for other sickness/injuries or for residents from other counties/states with ‘rona. But if you only listen to the narrative from the health department or the director of St Marys hospital you will think that the 100 beds are filled with unvaxxed St Mary’s ’rona residents.

So can you tell me why we are mandating vaccines among nurses when we have proof in our own local hospital that vaccinated nurses are still getting Covid and cannot work? And we have a shortage of nurses partly due to vax mandates so we are relaxing training requirements for new nurses. None of this makes any sense to me but what the hell do I know? I’m just a poor dumb dirt farmer/hardware store owner Who just needs to sit down, shut up, and take the damn shot.

I am hearing stories of Urgent care places being over run and they are sending Urgent care patients to the ER.

I have no first hand knowledge , just rumors I have heard. I do know that the ER is overburdened badly.

The ER is where certain ethnicities go for their primary care.

And they call the Ambulance to get there.
Assuming they get seen faster.
The fact is many people going to the Emergency room or urgent care, would see their private Doctor, if said Doctor would give them an appointment.

To create more fear porn that will cause more unpredictability and uncertainty in the sheep herd for them to call for more draconian measures in which governments will happily oblige.

Deal, I’ll check back in on this thread in 6 weeks and we’ll see how things are, that enough time?
It is in the process of starting right now. As I've stated before on many occasion, the cold/flu season happens annually like clockwork every year. Why? One reason is because beginning after the fall equinox, or thereabouts, the sun's UVB rays can no longer penetrate through the earth's atmosphere at latitudes 30º and northward. Skin, when exposed to UVB solar rays, begins the process to convert the precursor to a molecule called vitamin D3, which then follows a metabolic pathway through the liver and finally to the kidneys, where it's converted into a molecule called calcitriol. That’s the good stuff—the active form. This is what helps maintain a strong immune system.

However, if the health status of the majority of people in St Mary's are in anyway comparable to those that were at the county fair, there's gonna be a lot of sick people, (colds, flu), again this winter. Should have just placed a feed trough at the fair instead of all those "food" vendors. At a minimum, at least 70% of adult men and women have obvious insulin resistance and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, in addition to whatever other aliments they have. But it's not just St. Mary's, it's everywhere. We have a diet pandemic going on. And since their Vitamin D levels will soon be waning since sun exposure will no longer provide it for them, and if not to be depleted, because of an insufficient shitty diet, @TPD's doctor friend is gonna have a field day. That is what is going to be the reason people will getting sick again this winter.

If anyone wants to avoid getting sick this winter, supplement your diet with cod liver oil, and other natural Vitamin D food sources. If you are/will be taking Vitamin D in pill form, you might want to also take some Vitamin K2. Because with too much Vitamin D you can have too much calcium in your blood, or possibly cause hypercalcemia, and having the calcium going to other areas where it's not supposed to be. Among other things, Vitamin D carries calcium, it is Vitamin K2 that tells the body where to put the calcium, in your bones and teeth. K2 is also in egg yokes and kale, and other greens.

It is a balanced natural diet that will get everyone through the winter lessening the chances of getting sick.

We seemed to have lost the conversation about vitamin D over the last 30 years. I actually have always asked for a supplemental panel at my annual physical, to include vitamin D, it’s critical at my age.,

When you ask for a Vitamin D test, make sure you get it together with a blood calcium level test as well. Too much calcium in the blood is bad as the body will put it where it doesn't belong, like your brain, arterial walls, breast tissue, joints, tendons, kidneys, skin and other soft tissues. If you do have calcium deposits it is because of a lack of Vitamin K2 to tell the body where to put the calcium. Good news is that by changing the diet, eliminating all sugars and refined carbohydrates, and eating leafy greens or supplementing with K2, the body, over time, will pick up and clean up those ill placed calcium deposits. Which is also the way to reverse arteriosclerosis, which also can lower blood pressure to normal levels.

Remember, all body inflammation, and most illness and disease, (excepting for certain things), is a direct result of diet. If diet made one unhealthy, a proper diet can make one healthy and repair the damage caused by the bad diet.

A week later, 7 day average rates:

MD positivity rate is 3.89%, a week ago it was 4.22%

the delta variant has burned through the susceptible population, rates will continue to collapse and I continue to believe that your prediction of worse days ahead for MD is wrong.
