Once upon a time, I was feeding two stray cats. One I saw regularly, the other a big black and white tom that occasionally showed up. One morning, I opened the door, walked outside, sat the bowl down and noticed a third "cat". I even said aloud, you are the ugliest cat I've ever seen what's wrong with your fur (it was rough looking). Fortunately, before I actually touched it, I realized it was a skunk.

Okay, that reminds me of the commercial on TV where the lady doesn't have her glasses on yet, and is calling the kitty from outside. "Here, kittykittykitty!" and in walks a raccoon or skunk. :

It was a racoon, and I laugh every time I see that commercial. Haven't seen it in a while though.
