What could possibly go wrong? I wonder if they consulted with current residents of NYC's housing projects.

More people with criminal records would be allowed to live in New York City Housing Authority apartments under proposed rule changes

The new committee is expected to conduct an in-depth review of applicants with criminal records that mimics the review process used in NYCHA’s Family Reentry Program, where eligible individuals coming out of jail or prison can live with family members already in public housing so long as they agree to take part in mandatory services.

Sure, because that's exactly what the world needs - more groups of people who can't get jobs, housing, vote, etc., etc..

If a felon has served their time, then they should be free to live unfettered. That includes public housing, legal gun ownership, and voting.

I guess you're not a single mom trying to raise a couple of kids in the projects.
