OB/GYN Recommendations

Is anyone a current or past patient of Dr. Lawrence Tilley in Leonardtown or Dr. Grove Espinoza in Waldorf ? If so, can you please provide me with some feedback on either or both of them. I am considering becoming a patient in one of their offices due to a change in my insurance. Thanks for your help.

I'm a patient of Dr. Tilley (he just delivered my daughter in November). I can't praise him enough--he's definitely a great doctor and I would recommend him to anyone for his acumen in the field. His staff is very friendly and helpful, and although I'm not crazy about his CNMW Partner, I will say that she is quite knowlegeable and not unkind.

Some people are put off by his dry humor and 'tell it like it is' attitude, but personally I like that in a medical professional. If you are super-sensitive, you might not.

Try looking through this thread. If you do a seach you'll find there are many more.

Good luck

You should do a search, you'll probably find a lot on the subject here. Since I'm posting, though, I'll say that my Dr. Tilley is my wife's doctor and she likes him. He also did a great job delivering our daughter last year. Nice guy, and like somebody else mentioned, very straight forward when discussing important stuff.

If you're just looking for a GYN, Dr. Polsky is great and his receptionist and nurse are wonderful too. Very friendly and easy to talk to. For a 15 minute exam, I spent an hour in his office talking to him about different things. He has given up OB for the time being, in order to spend time with his family. I'm hoping he'll go back to OB before I start having kids....

Do you know, by chance, if this is the same Dr. Tilley that hit a dog on the road a few years ago and had the dead dog in the freezer at his house ?? The issue was all over the news in Southern Maryland but I couldnt remember if it was a doctor or dentist. The name has always stuck in my head though.

I'd love to hear more. None of that rings a bell for me. The Dr. Tilley that we know has a busy practice, I can't imagine all those dozens of women still employing him if he was involved with frozen dogs?

The issue had to have been a few years ago but my co-worker was telling me that it was a dentist that practices(d) in Waldorf. The whole situation was a mess. Thanks for the info. Besides, I figured as long as I dont have to eat anything when I go to his office, I should be fine : )
