Obama and AARP Betrayed Seniors

By now, most people are aware that AARP publicly supported the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, or Obamacare, even though the organization knew it would cut more than $700 billion from Medicare. It also supported the Act despite the fact that AARP members overwhelmingly opposed it, about 14 to 1.

The AARP is completely in the bag for the left. We have known that for decades. They are nothing but a huge, for-profit money making machine that sells out the folk they are supposed to represent - anybody over 50.

AARP has two affiliated organizations: AARP Services Inc. which is managed wholly for profit, and the AARP Foundation, a charity that operates on a non-profit status. You just can't be both at the same time.

"Three Republican lawmakers are calling on the IRS to investigate the non-profit status of AARP, the nation’s leading organization for senior citizens, over the hundreds of millions of dollars the group makes from marketing health insurance.

"During this investigation, it became very clear that despite its privileged tax-exempt status, in many cases, AARP represents a for-profit entity," Rep. Charles Boustany, R-La., said at a committee hearing on a probe into the group’s finances."

Anyone who accepts AARP offers, and you have to join them for those offers, cannot think for themselves.

Just like the left's dreams of making all choices from the government only.
