I do not care about Bammy's swanky bday bash. I care very much that the same people who will be yukking it up at this thing are telling me to avoid gatherings and wear masks, and some of them are making laws to that effect.
This whole thing screams privilege, elitism, corruption, and hypocrisy.
Gutfeld made this observation on The Five - and later on, on his show -
The rich, the powerful, the politicians - they make laws for us that they do not have to follow. That IS what they do. Make laws that they skate around. Example of course being Mayor Bowser who had the mask edict to take place AFTER she attended a wedding. Other politicians - like our governor - have them go into effect immediately. Evidently the virus waits until the weekend to gain full strength.
They tell us to wear masks - and they mutter off camera as they take them off again that it's theater - actual quote.
Something ELSE he mentioned, twice on each show - the rich, and many in media - they worked all through the pandemic. Worked remotely or at home but always working. Many were able to. So the politicians and journalists all saying to the business owners - just stay home. Stay inside.
Well easy for you. You're not losing a business you've spent a lifetime building. As Obama would have said, you have no skin in the game. The rich staying HOME? Might as well be in a palace. NO PROBLEM for them.

One more thing - Obama's estate evidently has its own air strip. So his guests can all fly in by private jet.
Climate change be damned, it's Obama's birthday.
