You know how you can hear something a hundred times in a hundred different ways before it finally gets through to you? The ten truths listed below fall firmly into that category – life lessons that many of us likely learned years ago, and have been reminded of ever since, but for whatever reason, haven’t fully grasped.

This, my friends, is my attempt at helping all of us, myself included, “get it” and “remember it” once and for all…

Good "truths" - mine would have been a little harsher. Such as:

"Nobody gives a damn about your petty problems. Your mom might, but even she will get tired of your whiny angst-ridden ass after awhile. Straighten up and get your #### together."

This goes along the same lines because I find people, in general, live in the past which is why they complain about thier problems so much. There was a chapter in my life when I was guilty of that but at some point we are all guilty of doing that. We have to live in the day. I have a place to sleep at night, food in the house, change in jars, health care and some money in the bank. In fact most of us posting here have these things, which makes us better off than 75 percent of other people in the world. That means most of us have our basic needs met - anything else is not worth fussing over.

I liked this response in the comments

“If you have one foot in yesterday and one foot in tomorrow, you’re pissing all over today.” - Michael J. Fox

The biggest challenge people usually have in our society is living in the moment. We say we do, and we try, but never actually do. Most are either thinking about what we need to do tomorrow or we are focused on the regrets of yesterday’s mistakes.

I believe that this was a big chapter in the lost manual which unfortunately was not handed to us upon our arrival into the world.

Live for today!

Busy doesn't mean productive!

You're life won't make itself!

You'll never get 'there' if you aren't at least trying!

Hurry up and relax or you will die before your time and you'll be nothing but a rose smelling, dawdling drain on society that didn't amount to a dry turd because you were working too hard trying to relax and enjoy life!

 Or just stop living to fricken please everyone else and just worry about yourself by doing what you want.

I saw some crap the other day that said it isn't stress that kills us, it is our reponse to stress that kills us. I thought, oh really, is that so?

It is a good thing not much bothers me anymore but my use of humor in sarcasm or maybe it is sarcasm as humor??? Anyway, that helps.
