Twitter locked the account of writer and podcast host Luke Thompson after he sent a tweet questioning why the boyfriend of Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) appears to have an official house.gov email address.

They tend to do that when one violates their TOS.

Twitter is getting worse and worse. They let the progs run amok, calling people filthy names and making death threats, yet a conservative so much as asks a question and they get banned.

It's bullshit.

No, they don't. Only when it's someone questioning one of their political pets. Go to a Trump tweet - The Donald, Melania, DJR, Lara, any of them - and see the filthy language and threats of violence that Twitter doesn't deem a violation of their TOS.

Perhaps because your examples aren’t actual violations of their TOS.

I'm less interested in someone being banned on twitter, than AOC's boyfriend having a .gov email account.

I'm more interested in Twitter picking and choosing what political speech is allowed on their platform, now that they have turned it into a global media/information entity. Threats of violence against Barron Trump = OK; questioning AOC's boyfriend having a House email address = not OK.

It's easy to say, "If you don't like it, don't use it," but Twitter has worked itself to the point that that's like saying, "Don't like the way your phone company or your water company or any of your other utilities penalize you for political reasons? Don't use them."

Had Twitter been upfront in the beginning and fully disclosed that they are a partisan political tool for rhetoric dissemination, they'd have never made it this far. So they did the old bait and switch, which I believe is illegal. Facebook has done the same thing, although they've backed off quite a bit on the ideological pick and choose because the Feds are on them. DoJ needs to go after Twitter as well.

It’s been addressed. It’s not a violation of any rules.

Yes, it is. The rules say "spouse", not random hookup. If everyone who's screwing a House member could get a house.gov email address, every hooker in DC would have one.

That’s not why his account was locked. It was locked because he violated their TOS. They even told you precisely what his transgression was if you poked at his account when it was blocked.

Specifically what was his transgression?

Not according to David O'Boyle:
Asked about the arrangement, David O'Boyle, the spokesperson for the Office of the Chief Administrative Officer, told Fox News: "From time to time, at the request of members, spouses and partners are provided House email accounts for the purposes of viewing the member’s calendar."

I guess it could be worse. She could have set up an email server at her house.

The rules say “spouse or partner” actually.

It’s not against any rule.
