what's the best way to go about Ocean city? My girls want to take a trip in May or June, would only be late friday check in, stay saturday and leave sunday. Should we look at hotels or timeshare rentals? Any suggestions of good but not too expensive places to stay? Thanks for the help!

The traffic is going to be bad either of those times.

I would look at Holiday Inn. There is one half way directly off rte 90 and another off the rte 50 bridge.

Patrick Henry in West OC might be a good choice. Google it. It's a short drive from the boardwalk and family friendly.

I would take the Friday off and leave early morning. Traffic to the bridge is horrible at just about any other time on Fridays during the summer.

Would THIS face lie?
Just a heads up....May be hard to get just one night....Most places have a 3 night minimum...

I always stay @ the Carousel; it is down the boardwalk a ways, but oceanside, and if you book now prices don't seem too bad! It used to have an ice skating rink inside it also, which was fun! 2 great indoor pools, even a hot tub. And Rehobeth is just a hop, skip and jump up the road; outlet malls both sides of the street!

If you go before Memorial Day you should be able find off-season rates. If you go in june you will have to deal with all the seniors that just graduated. Pretty rowdy at that time.

How many girls & what age group(s)? What do you consider "too expensive"? How important is location to you? (for example, do you want to be on the boardwalk, on the ocean or is back a street or so okay?

Have you considered Virginia Beach? Less traffic getting there and only a bit longer in drive time. Plenty to do as well, besides the beach.
