New Japanese Steak House in Wildewood.. OKADA..

itstitsbob give it :yay: :yay: TWO thumbs up. Not a LOT different from Asahi, but enough different. Many more grills then Asahi, the food is tasty, the meal is very similar.. Miso Soup, Salad, then the grilled meal. Miso soup was tastier, more taste then hot water, the salad had a different salad dressing on it, something I haven't had before, and can't really explain, but I thought it was good.

Sushi was like buttah.. the best I've had yet, California Rolls were more inner ingredients (crab and avocado) then outer (rice) and the Tuna, Salmon and Shrimp tasted like they had a dock and just took the fish off of the boat.

I had the Steak and Shrimp, BG had the Steak, and it looked the samen as the Asahi meals, Ginger and Yum Yum sauce, fried rice and vegetables, but the taste was just enough different to be a nice change. The YumYum sauce was a little more flavorful, and the meal itself seemed tastier yet less salty.

Service was more then adequate, our drinks were never less then half full, they were polite and personable, asking Nic's age etc..

All in all I'm glad we decided to try it, and hope they are around for a long time to come.

Chicklet and I went a couple of weeks ago to give it a second chance. Again the food was over salted. We still like Asahi better.

I went there a couple times when they first opened..and I thought it was excellent! Awesome sushi and great customer service! Never liked the idea of sitting at a habachi grill with folks that you don't know but whatever it was still nice :)

I love going to Asahi, but IMO, Sakura in Waldorf is the BEST! They have bigger portions and everything just tastes better.

I'm trying to imagine how somebody that close-minded even figured out how to use a computer.

Do fast food joints count as dumb because you can see them prepare meals?

Fuddruckers is probably considered dumb because you have to dress your own burger.
