For there to be "another", there would have to have been a first.

To defend something, it would have to have occurred.

So why isn’t the trump administration actually investigating it? Why does he need to ask Ukraine and why would he want to hide it from the oversight committee?

Well, probably because it's a Ukranian crime and Trump isn't the President of Ukraine. See, that's the problem: Barry acted like a king for 8 years, so you got the idea that's how it's supposed to work.
