Off!!!!

hmmmmmm
Why is this command so hard

The puppy understands heel after the second session on the leash, Willie learned roll over yesterday, she is a quick learner, but they both don't get "off".

What is/was the hardest thing for your pup to learn?

I need a nap
my dog figured out "hot dog" almost immediately. She had very selective hearing when she was a puppy but for hte most part pretty smart.

The "Don't tear up my house" command still doesn't work on my Bichon. Thank goodness for the crate!!

Definitely "stand". Evry one of my dogs has had trouble with that. We use it in competition, when a 'change position' is required (going from a 'down' to a 'sit' to standing up in place, for instance, without actually leaving that spot). It's especially hard to teach the command in motion, ie when walking at heel, you keep going, but the dog stops and stands still on command as you continue.

Never had a problem with 'off'.
