Calvert County Public Schools Closed 2 Hours Early
Schools closed 2 hours early due to inclement weather.
School-based employees will be released by their principals when duties are completed.
Central office personnel will work regular hours unless released by the superintendent or his/her designee.
Given all indications from the meteorologists and weather services about midday snow fall and temperatures, it is prudent to close schools two hours early today and get students home safely before the roads of Calvert County become congested.
All St. Mary’s County Public Schools will dismiss 2-hours early today, Wednesday, March 7, 2007. Buses will begin their return routes at that time. A.M. pre-kindergarten students will be held at their schools until buses begin their return routes (lunches will be served). After school and evening activities, including evening high school classes, are cancelled. If no further announcements are made, schools will resume their normal schedule tomorrow.
The Partners for Success Resource Center for Families and Schools’ seminar entitled, Everything You Need To Know About Transitioning Out of High School, scheduled for Wednesday, March 7, 2007, has been cancelled and will be rescheduled for a later date. The Commission on the Environment meeting scheduled for this evening, March 7, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. in Room 14 of the St. Mary’s County Governmental Center has been cancelled.
