However, Republican leadership staffers now believe the document was generated out of the Democratic opposition research office set up recently by Sen. Harry Reid, and distributed to some Democratic Senate staffers claiming it was a GOP document, in the hope -- or more likely expectation -- that it would then be leaked by those Democrats to reporters. In fact, the New York Times stated that it was Democratic staffers who were distributing the "talking points" document.

For some reason I got some negative karma for my post with no comment. Whoever did that might as well tell me why and identify yourself. I posted that because, unlike some Republican claims that it was "forged," it was indeed written by a Republican staffer.

You are right, speculation gone wild. The staffer BTW came clean and was summarily fired.

Absolutely Pete, he did the right thing. I just do not like how I get negative, unsigned karma for providing some balance. If accusations about the authenticity of the memo were to be questioned, the final truth should be provided, one way or the other. No doubt if it was conclusive that the Democrats did indeed engage in forging the memo, there would have been an addition to this thread.

I just provided closure to the subject...someone apparently did not want that.

Some people are just not tollerent of your liberal views. I salute you for the way you explain and discuss them, although it does frustrate me sometimes :lol:

Keep on what you are doing, don't sweat the karma, it means nothing, and we will have a beer sometime when you are older and can have one. By that time you will have experienced life more and will no doubt be a conservative. :lmao:

I do not agree with every Republican policy or conservative pundit. Just today I had to finally turn off Glenn Beck because he annoyed me past my tollerence point with his continued rant on Shaivo.

We all embrace what we want and ignore the rest
