Another alarmist article full of could, might, may, possibly, can, while overtly blaming climate change. What a crock-o-$hit.

They highlight the 80 deaths annually but when fentanal deaths are ~150 daily in the US I say they are chasing fluffy unicorns.

Due to warming waters ... news flash - the water gets warmer every spring/summer. Then it gets cold in the fall/winter. Wash/rinse repeat.

Another news flash - the water remains wet.

We know for sure that there is a flesh eating bacteria in waters in the Potomac.
Crabbers have lost fingers because of it. Mostly it gets into open cuts.
It's been around for a few years now , but it's nothing to panic over.

I don't know if its; the same bacteria as this story pertains to, but it's there at times.

Yes, Vibrio, same. It's the reason I don't go in the waters around here when it gets hot and the water temp goes up. If you have no open skin, it can be ok, but I manage to cut or scrape myself around water.

Considering Blue Plains history, it might be best to just NOT go in the waters along the Potomac.

I must say, its rather ghastly that you people are so non-chalant about this Murlin crisis.... what about the children and Mexican immigrants washing their remaining clothing at Breezy Point and Sandy Point??!! Have you no shame about you??
Clearly, Marylands Governator LessMoore should do something... flail his hands like a circus chimp and demand Murlins fair share of money or something!!!!
Obviously we need to remove the water from the bay, boil it, then put it back
