JUST MAKE SURE YOU TELL THEM YOU JUST WANT AN OIL CHANGE, NOT ENGINE OVERHAUL. MY WIFE'S FRIEND END UP PAYING ALMOST $200 AFTER SHE AGREED ON THEIR "PROPOSED" MAINTENANCE.

If she only paid $200 for an engine overhaul, your wife's friend made out! :yay:

I don't like either the Jiffy Lube or the Laser Lube, and I don't like Precision Tune. The Sunoco station adjacent to the Exploration/Expedition parks does good work for a reasonable price. So does Cheseldine's (Meineke) adjacent to Wal-Mart, but you may have to call ahead and be prepared to have an appointment a few days after the call. I take my PT Cruiser to Park (because they send me coupons for good deals and they sold me the car). I change the oil in my Miata myself.

Kwillia does oil changes in her garage for extra cash. She will usually beat all the local places by at least $5, you should PM her :yay:

I changed mine and BG's oil on Saturday.. since the local landfill has the vat to put used oil in I took advantage.. AND yet again I went a little overboard.. best filter I could find, Mobil 1 SYnthetic Oil.. but I'm good for another 20 - 50,000 miles now.

I would stay away from any of the commercialized oil changing places because they always seem to find things wrong with your car that need to be fixed "right away". I had a bad experience last year at Jiffy Lube after paying $30 for an oil change, my car stalled on Great Mills Road. When I got it started I took it back and they did something to it to fix the problem, but then i had a ticking noise ever since that noone could identify.
