Oil for Honda 08207 Generator

I thought I was ordering the right oil to do an oil change. I thought I should use 10W30 PK2 motor oil. However when I received the oil, it states on the bottle it is for diesel. Is this the correct oil for the Honda 08207. Thanks

Diesel oil has soot suspending properties that make it "diesel" oil. If you look up the specs in the owners manual, it should state what rating is required. Usually an SF-## for gasoline engines, I believe. A search of Honda 08207 brings up Honda 10w-30 motor oil. I've never heard of a model 08207. Is this a small unit? There's usually a GX-### or GVC-### designation.

Edit: We run diesel oil in our MF gasoline forklift at work because today's oils don't have the additives needed for the poor old gal.

Yes, Honda 08207-10W30 PK2 Motor Oil provides great performance. I've also used Shell Rotella T5 Synthetic Blend 15W-40 for a diesel generator. In this article also found afew more great oil for generator. This synthetic blend diesel engine oil with an advanced low-ash formulation that ensures emission compliance and efficiency. Viscosity: SAE 15W-40. Volume: 1 gal.
