I worked with someone who owned a few Hermes bags ....
She's filthy rich and never ever flaunted it. You wouldn't be able to tell that she was filthy rich unless you knew anything about handbags and shoes.
Hermes bags are very nice .... but no way in hell I'm paying that much money for a purse. I can think of a lot of other things I could/would buy with that much money (down payment for a house, pay off bills).

I thought it was $55K (just wanted to clear that up), I wouldn't spend $1,000 on a purse, $50 would be my max and that would have to be some special purse, like a have to have kind.
