Okada or Asahi

Brother-in-law looking to take us out for dinner...looking at these two places...I've never been to either one...preference, anyone?

Okada the Sushi, Sashimi is definitely better.

But I think the Teppenyaki is better at ASAHI.

I've only been to Okada once and the table and dishes were so greasy we asked to have it cleaned and the bus person came out to clean our table again and used the same greasy dirty rag. It didn't do any good, the rag looked like it had ben used for weeks with out washing it.

I prefer Asahi, I've never noticed a problem with cleanliness there

They're pretty much the same. I prefer Okada, even though the last two times I went Kris was there.

They are both good. Like Bob said, we like Asahi's teppanyaki better, but like Okada for their sushi/shashimi.

Thanks for the input, everyone! We went to Okada, and really enjoyed it. Wow, the cook puts on quite a show! We ordered chicken and shrimp (me), filet and lobster, and filet...YUMMY!!! (and I couldn't catch the piece of shrimp!)

I like Okada because of the specials.....but service at Asahi blows Okada out of the water....

I'm surprised by some of the comments. Everytime lately I have gone to Asahi the tables have been dirty, the grill's look nasty, the food has just been okay and the table cooks never put on a show anymore. They won't give you chopsticks without asking for them and more little issues that weren't there when they first opened. The last time I was in there was leak of some kind near our table and the grill had a filthy rag tied up around something at the top.

When I go to Okada, there is always a show, the place is very clean and the servers go out of their way to be accomodating and the food has been excellent.

Asahi isn't on my list of places to eat anymore when I have a choice.

that's weird....i eat there at least once, more so twice a week and have never had any experience like that...

Okada gives the better show and has the better soup/salad.

Asahi has the better yum yum sauce.
