Old Blues

This is a documentary. The introduction is almost 6 minutes long. One of the things that caught my ear was when he's talking about how people make sweeping statements about what kind of blues do these people play. He said that these guys play their own type of blues; that when each of them is gone, that type of blues is gone.

Reverend Gary Davis, purportedly an influence on Blind Connie Williams.

"Blind" Willie McTell has shown up on our treds before. "You was born to die."

Another one by Blind Willie McTell, just because I dig it. "Lord, Send Me an Angel." Bob Dylan and Jack White have both covered this, and I'm sure others have as well.

A cold night is good for the blues...slowin' it down a bit, with Big Mama Thornton. "Everything Gonna Be Alright Tonight"
