Old Stimulus?

I received a letter from the IRS today stating that my wife and I are receiving "a second economic impact payment (EIP2) as provided by the COVID-related Tax Relief Act of 2020." The amount is $1200 and is not considered taxable income.

Any idea if this something different from the $1400 we are supposed to be getting?

I should add the letter is dated March 5, 2021.

That is for the $600 each that was done in December. By law, they have to send a letter to state you are receiving it, but they are way behind in sending the letter. The idea is, that if you got a letter but not the money, you'd know to ask questions. You'll be getting another letter after this current stimulus as well.
