I agree! The giving of books rather than a candle or "another sweater" that won't get worn is such a great gift.

I try to think of the person's hobbies or interests..and pick out the one I know they won't have and no one else would think of.

Good Luck in finding the perfect book!

We read a lot. Good thing about a book - give one to hubby or boy and the book gets passed around to all of us, then to friends so it's a good use of $.

Cheapest place to get books is BJ's.

and remember, getting books at BJs is fine.
Getting booked for a BJ is not.

 Always been my biggest fear as far as patronizing a "professional". Actually, the second, right behind getting a case of the "cauliflower"

I got a bunch of copies of "Weird Maryland" to pass out this year. Really strange stuff in there....

:roflmao:

When I was standing in line at BJ's when it first opened and you had to get your little photo i.d., there was a woman behind me. Her cell phone rang and I guess whomever it was asked what she was doing. Her reply: "Waiting in a line for BJ's." I laughed out loud. Then she blushed.
