On View Arrests:
Assault- On November 12, 2021, Dep. Graves responded to the 23500 block of Mervell Dean Road in Hollywood, for the reported check the welfare. Contact was made with the victim who displayed visible signs of injury to the victim's face and right hand. The victim advised during an argument with Jill Marie Knittel, age 41 of Hollywood, Knittel repeatedly grabbed at the victim's shirt, and prevented the victim from the leaving. Knittel was arrested and charged with Assault 2nd Degree.
Assault- On November 12, 2021, Dep. Forbes responded to the St. Mary's County Detention and Rehabilitation Center in Leonardtown, for the reported assault. Investigation determined Davon Amonie Barnes, age 25 of Lexington Park, was arguing with the victim over a television channel, and then punched the victim in the face. Barnes was charged with Assault 2nd Degree.
Assault- On November 13, 2021, Dep. Luffey responded to the 44000 block of Worth Lane in California, for the reported assault. Investigation determined the victim responded to the location after being contacted by juveniles regarding the condition of Dayson NMN Briggs, age 38 of Baltimore. The victim located Briggs passed out in a vehicle. The victim attempted to wake Briggs at which time Briggs violently opened the vehicle door and pushed the victim to the ground. The victim complained of having trouble breathing and being in pain after the incident. Briggs was arrested and charged with Crime of Violence-Pregnant Person and Assault 2nd Degree.
Assault- On November 13, 2021, Dep. C. Hill responded to the 45600 block of Longfield Village in California, for the reported assault. Investigation determined Kyli Jerrard Dean, age 28 of California, caused visible injury to the victim's wrist when he scratched it with a vehicle key. Dean was arrested and charged with Assault 2nd Degree.
Theft/Property Destruction- On November 14, 2021, Dep. C. Hill responded to the 21600 block of Great Mills Road in Lexington Park, for the reported disturbance. Investigation determined Sergio Rashaad Rice, age 39 of no fixed address, entered the establishment while a religious service was being held and filmed. Rice began yelling and causing a disturbance, and attempted to flip over the table where the camera was recording the service. Rice continued to cause a disturbance and roll around on the floor. Rice removed property belonging to the business and was then escorted off the property. Rice was located nearby with the property. Rice was arrested and once in the police vehicle he began to spit and ripped a microphone cord installed in the vehicle. Once at the St. Mary's County Detention and Rehabilitation Center, a wrapper containing suspected marijuana was located was located on Rice's person. Rice was charged with Theft, Malicious Destruction of Property, Disorderly Conduct, and Possession of CDS While Confined.
Assault- On November 14, 2021, Dep. Forbes responded to the 20700 block of Hermanville Road in Lexington Park, for the reported assault. Investigation determined William Joseph Kuykendall, age 41 of Lexington Park, became upset inside the residence and began destroying property. Kuykendall retrieved a metal pole and began to chase and threaten the victim with the pole. The victim was in fear and fled the residence with two minor children. When deputies made contact with Kuykendall, he was unaware the children were not in the residence and believed them to be asleep. Kuykendall was arrested and charged with Assault 1st and 2nd Degree and Child Neglect.
Handgun in Vehicle- On November 14, 2021, Cpl. Green responded to the 21700 block of Great Mills Road in Lexington Park, for the reported check the welfare. Cpl. Green located a vehicle stopped and running in the roadway with the operator who appeared to be sleeping at the wheel. The operator, Walter Nelson Cannaday Jr., age 37 of Largo, was found to be operating the vehicle under the influence of alcohol and was arrested. The vehicle was towed from the scene at which time a loaded firearm was discovered in the trunk. Cannaday was charged with Driving While Under the Influence of Alcohol, Driving While Impaired by Alcohol, Handgun in Vehicle, Loaded Handgun in Vehicle, Regulated Firearm-Illegal Possession, and Illegal Possession of Ammunition.
Burglary- On November 15, 2021, Dep. Katulich responded to the 46100 block of Leesa Court in Lexington Park, for the reported burglary. Investigation determined Carlos Isaisas Hernandez Ticas, age 19 of Lexington Park, entered the victim's residence through an unsecured door, and removed property belonging to the victim. Ticas was arrested and charged with Burglary 3rd and 4th Degree and Theft.
