Home Invasion: On March 14, 2021, Deputy Michael Rycyzyn responded to the 46300 block of Columbus Drive in Lexington Park for the report of a disturbance. The victim and a witness advised that Krista Renee Barnes, 43 of Lexington Park, knocked on the door of an apartment and once the door was open, Barnes hit the victim in the face with a white wooden pole and proceeded to throw objects around the kitchen, further injuring the victim. During the course of the investigation, Barnes entered a 2007 Ford Escape and started to drive away, ignoring commands from deputies on the scene to stay. Deputies attempted to stop her with their emergency equipment activated on their marked police vehicles and Barnes stopped at Millison Plaza where she was arrested and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention and Rehabilitation Center in Leonardtown. Barnes was charged with Home Invasion; First-Degree Assault; Second-Degree Assault; False Statement to a Peace Officer; Fraudulent Personal ID to Avoid Prosecution and Malicious Destruction of Property less than $1,000. Theft: On March 9, 2021, DFC David Lawrence responded to the California Walmart store for the report of theft. Loss prevention staff advised Francisca Simon Marcos, 45 of Lexington Park, was skip scanning items at the self-checkout register. Marcos was issued a criminal citation for Theft: Less than $100. Trespassing: On March 11, 2021, Deputy Thomas Snyder arrived at the Subway restaurant on Great Mills Road in Lexington Park for the report of trespassing. Charles Edward Taylor III, 35 of Lexington Park, was issued a criminal citation for Trespassing on Private Property. Case # 13069-21

Unattended Child: On March 12, 2021, Cpl. Brian Connelly responded to the California Walmart store for the report of a child left unattended in a vehicle. Upon contact, Elizabeth Ann Lawrence, 26 of Hollywood, advised she had gone into the store to buy formula for one of her children. The complainant advised three children were inside the vehicle for 11 minutes. Lawrence was issued a criminal citation for Confine Unattended Child. Case # 13302-21 (no photo available)


Violation of Protective Order: On March 12, 2021, Deputy John Fenwick responded to the 46100 block of Seabiscuit Court in Lexington Park for the report of a violation of protective order. Loss prevention staff advised that Brian Cartel Dobyns, 30 of Lexington Park, was skip scanning items at the self-checkout register. Destruction of Property: On March 13, 2021, Cpl. Brian Connelly responded to the Well Pet Clinic in Lexington Park for the reported property destruction. The complainant advised that a white female, later identified as Samantha Lynn Rainer, 29 of Lexington Park, was walking through the breezeway adjacent to the business banging on the walls and windows. She then struck a 6'x6' plate glass window with an unknown object or body part causing it to break. Rainer was located on Great Mills Road, arrested and issued a criminal citation for Malicious Destruction of Property: Less than $1,000. Case # 13486-21

Violation of Protective Order: On March 13, 2021, Deputy Benjamin Raley responded to the 23700 block of North Patuxent Beach Road in California for the reported violation of protective order. The victim advised that Michael Eugene Abell, 58 of Lexington Park, made numerous attempts to call the victim despite a valid protective order. Theft: On March 14, 2021, Deputy Bianca Salas responded to the California Walmart store for the report of a theft. Loss prevention staff advised that Yakelin Paola Hernandez Perez, 24 of Lexington Park, did not scan 22 items at the self-checkout register. Assault: On March 14, 2021, Deputy Taylor-Lynn Kril responded to the 45000 block of Clark Street in California for the report of an assault. The victim advised that a verbal argument escalated and Jayson Benjamin Whitmire, 37 of California, threw a cellphone at the victim's head, causing visible injury. Whitmire was arrested, transported to the detention center and charged with Second-Degree Assault. Case # 13625-21

Theft: On March 16, 2021, DFC Courtney Edwards responded to the report of theft at the California Walmart store where loss prevention staff advised that Veronica Lynn Williams, 36 of Lexington Park, stole merchandise.
