One month today!

I can't believe my little baby is one month old today. Even though we've been struggling with a screaming baby every evening this week, it has really flown by! Too bad he's lost all his hair on the top of his head though. Poor half bald baby!

I had to take him to the pediatrician last night to make sure his screaming issues aren't medically related and found out he's up to 8lbs 15oz (might as well say 9 pounds )! He was only 6lbs 9oz at birth.

BTW, the doctor said he's at that magic age where it could either be colic OR reflux. I have medication to give to him for reflux, but I've been reluctant to give it to him yet - in case it's just colic.

Good luck with the colic/reflux. My daughter had both, and she cried for most of the first nine months. Even with meds, she was a handful. Don't get me wrong, I love her to death, but if she had been my first, she would have been my last.

It won't hurt him but if it is reflux it will help the burning he feels before eating and after. My kids both had Zantac and one also had Raglan. If you are that concerned you should ask them to do an upper gi. That will tell you for sure and it's not a bad test for the baby.

Mine is ten. I'm so glad she's out of the diaper and formula stages, but more and more I look at her and remember her as an adorable fat baby. I miss holding her, the giggling, the peek-a-boo's, everything...:bawl:

My sisters baby girl (about 7 weeks old now) had the same thing. They originally said colic, but she started gagging and throwing (spitting up) and they came to the conclusion that it was reflux. She is on meds now and doing MUCH better!
