Wanted: Dayvon Gordon In Custody: Tahj Vandy

The Homicide Unit arrested one suspect and is asking for the community’s assistance in locating the second suspect wanted in an October murder in Landover. Eighteen-year-old Tahj Vandy, of the 6400 block of Landing Way in Landover, is in custody for the murder of 22-year-old Andre Lamont Cox Jr., of no fixed address. We are now asking for information on the whereabouts of 28-year-old Dayvon Gordon of the 700 block of Barnaby Street in Southeast, Washington D.C.

On October 27, 2020, at approximately 6:30 pm, patrol officers responded to the 3200 block of 75th Avenue for a shooting. The victim was located outside suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was rushed to a hospital where he died a short time later.

The suspects and victim were known to each other. Detectives believe the suspects shot the victim over a dispute. Both Vandy and Gordon are charged with first and second degree murder. A commissioner ordered Vandy held on a no-bond status at the Department of Corrections.
