Yesterday at the doctor's office we were trying to schedule for spring break, and after saying I wasn't sure when it was, I said to my daughter, who had her phone out - "RACE YOU!".

She came up first - but when it didn't look right to me, I looked and it was spring break for a Canadian college.

I get now why - she tends to think of "Spring Break" like Easter or Memorial Day - a holiday set in stone across the board. It still has not occurred to her it's different depending on the circumstances.
